2,946 PointsWhat is your opinion on people using programs like Wix to make websites instead of learning to code?
I'm on the Front End Web Development track and while I've been learning to code, I often see those commercials on television advertising such programs such as Wix, that are just drag-and-drop. Do you think that to be a web developer, you should learn how to use these programs? How seriously would employers take someone applying with "Wix" experience? Or do you think that its a cheap trick?

16,593 PointsIf you are a web developer, you won't really need to use Wix. Those types of site builders are geared towards people with zero programming capabilities who need a cheap website and want to quickly create it on their own. I think that if a potential employer saw that on your resume, they might not take you as seriously. There is more value to knowing how to write the code than there is in being able to drag and drop boxes around.
