What is wrong with this code?

def add(arg1, arg2): try: return (float(arg1) + float(arg2)) except: ValueError: return None else: return (float(arg1) + float(arg2))

trial.py 
def add(arg1, arg2):
    try: 
        return (float(arg1) + float(arg2))
    except: ValueError:
        return None
    else: 
        return (float(arg1) + float(arg2))

Try to get rid of the extra colon right in front of the "except" keyword.

Also, you don't need an "else" for this challenge, so your code should look like:

def add(x, y):
    try:
        return float(x) + float(y)
    except ValueError:
        return None
