19,845 PointsI think you need to put your nav tag after the anchor (a tag), with the href equal to index.html. hope that helps.

Courses Plus Student 4,632 PointsYour href would be better off inside one of the list items because you would need something to click on as its a link.
<ul> <li><a href="index.html">homepage</a></li> </ul>
what you've done is added the href into your h1 and h2 tags. hope this helps but I'm a little unsure on the question

6,255 PointsYour nav tag is just BEFORE the a tag. place the nav directly below the ending anchor tag.

<header>
<a href="index.html">
<h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
<h2>Designer</h2>
</a>
<nav>
<ul>
<li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
<li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
<li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
