I don't understand what the error is.
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";
if(firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase(thirdExample)){
console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");
}

42,016 Pointsyou need to keep the if statement from task 1 in there as well. dont remove it:
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";
// task 1
if(firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase(secondExample)){
console.printf("first is equal to second");
}
// task 2
if(firstExample.equalsIgnoreCase(thirdExample)){
console.printf("first and third are the same ignoring case");
}
dont remove code from previous tasks. THe challenge expects it to be there
