You can get rid of your boolean variable as it is not needed. Question 2 wants you to keep looping as long as the response is equal to "no" (ignoring case). You'll want to use the method equalsIgnoreCase as was taught in a previous tutorial. Your code should look a little like this:

String response;

do {
  response = console.readLine("Do you understand do while loops?  ");
} while (response.equalsIgnoreCase("no"));
