i tried my code on my local program and it works fine, but here say squared did not return the right value!!

try:
return x * x
except:
return x * len(x)

Since the challenge is asking specifically to return the square if the values can be converted to int, you need to actually convert them in the try block - if you change that line to
return int(x) * int(x)
it should work.
