25,909 PointsHi, your mistake is around here:
<footer>
<a href="https//facebook.com"<img src='img/facebook-wrap.png' alt="facebook logo"></a>
<a href="https//twitter.com"<img src='img/twitter-wrap.png' alt="twitter logo"></a>
<p>© 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
</footer>
If you want to put an element into another you first have to close the leading part of the enclosing tag (a). The solution will look like this:
<footer>
<a href="https//facebook.com"><img src="img/facebook-wrap.png" alt="facebook logo" /></a>
<a href="https//twitter.com"><img src="img/twitter-wrap.png" alt="twitter logo" /></a>

</footer>
