There are two issues with your code:

First, your indentation is incorrect. Python uses indentation to define code blocks unlike other languages which might use curly braces. If your indentation is not exact, Python will not know what to do.

Second, the third part of the challenge instructs you to convert the arguments into floats inside of a try block which you have not done.

def add(arg1, arg2):
    try:
        arg1 = float(arg1)
        arg2 = float(arg2)
    except ValueError:
        return None
    else:
        return arg1 + arg2
