General Discussion

What is used to track clicks and actions on a website?

Is there a specific coding language that's used to track clicks and show user information? I'm curious to build something that can do that for me.

When you say "track", that sounds like you want to collect and store information. That would be a server function, and there are many server-side languages (like Ruby, PHP, Python, C#, Node.js ...)

But for having the browser respond directly to such events, the language of choice would be JavaScript.
