what is the difference between create vs add a repository? Why is it sometimes I cannot add repository?

I don't understand the logic between create a repository vs adding a repository? Am I adding a repository to a existing repository that I have already created? If i create a repository under My Documents\GitHub\ and name it my_site. How do i add a repository under my_site?

Create will make a new folder, add will add an existing folder. So if you have a folder with project files in it already it will already have those ready to commit.

Thank you Steve. I just realized the 'Changes' and 'History' tabs on the top. I was always on the History tab so I never see the files I added. And sometimes it goes back to the Changes tab when I click the tutorial repository. I was so confused. Now i feel stupid, this what drives me crazy the past couple of days.
