What do they mean when they ask for a "check" in php?
<?php
//Available roles: admin, editor, author, subscriber
if (!isset($role)) {
$role = 'subscriber';
}
//change to switch statement
switch($role)
{
case 'admin':
echo "As an admin, you can add, edit, or delete any post.";
break;
default:
echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administrator.";
break;
}

10,490 PointsIt is just another word for a conditional or option. In the case of a switch statement, it is another case element like you have.
Could also be another 'if' statement. Basically you're 'checking' a value.
