What is "${controller.timerText}" referring to in the controller (Home class)?

It's not immediately obvious what "timerText" is referring to with the fields on the Home class being mCurrentAttempt and mTimerText?

I can see the setTimerText() method takes "timerText" as an argument so does "${controller.timerText}" relate back to that method?
