Python

What is coertion?

Hey there, I'm going through the Python course and I'm on lists. When I get to the exercise, it talks about something called "coertion". I must have missed something.

Also called β€œcasting”, it means trying to change an objects type.

For example, list() can be used to change a str, set, tuple in to a list. Most of the built-in object instantiations can take other objects types and return called type.

Post back if you need more help. Good luck!!!
