What is an easy way to measure x-height of a Typeface?

Mattox says in this video that for Text Typefaces, x-height of the Typeface should be 60 to 75% of the Cap height.

What are the possible ways to measure the x-height? Is there any easy way to measure this?

Hi Jeff, the link you gave shows as banned. I also tried http://typophile.com but the result is same. Thanks.

Banned? Strange. I just clicked on it from here in the forum and it worked. Maybe you have some sort of blocking software on your machine?

Maybe this one'll work? http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4043812/how-do-i-calculate-x-height-i-e-ex-of-a-font-object
