I'm taking the code challenge and it says "bummer be sure to add alternate text for twitter.

See all those alt=""s in your < img > tags? Those are alt tags and the challenge wants you to put some text in there, for the Twitter image probably something like "Follow Us on Twitter". And for the Facebook image you would add something like "Like Us on Facebook!".

The alt tag/text is there primarily to help visually-impaired users view all the content on your site. Screenreaders cannot explain a picture to a blind person so it is up to you to add alt text that the screenreader can read and share with the user.
