18,814 PointsFor the first step of the challenge, you need to add a navigation element with an unordered list element inside the header. You've got your code in the right place, you just need a couple different element tags.
<nav> // Your navigation element looks good!
<url> // You want to use an unordered list here, not url. <ul>
<li><a href="index.html">designer</a></li> // Don't add a list item yet!
</url> // This will be your closing tag for your unordered list. </ul>
</nav>
Your first step should end up looking like this...
<nav>
<ul>
</ul>
</nav>

Treehouse Guest TeacherHello Joseph,
The challenge wants you to add a nav section and an unordered list within it. You're nav is the correct place but you have a "url" element instead of a "ul" element.
You should change your structure to this.
<nav>
<ul>
...
</ul>
</nav>
Depending on which level of the challenge you're on will determine if you should have items within the unordered list or not.
I hope this helps.
