What happened to Web Platform Docs?

https://www.webplatform.org/ is recommended in this video as a web developers resource. Although we still have the MDN and W3C sites. The Web Platform Docs notifies visitors that the site is frozen and no longer being updated due to the "Stewards Partnership agreement" ending. Does anyone have any insight in to what exactly happened and why? This seemed like such a promising/ helpful resource.

The link works but the site is no longer being updated. Any idea why it was discontinued?

True, on the main page it is indicated that it is discontinued and the link is provided to GitHub, I guess because they have released the code so that someone can continue developing it if you are interested.
