The issue is you are doing extra work that the challenge is not expecting. While I encourage you to go to workspaces and experiment and do lots of extra practice, for the challenges you need to do exactly what they ask for to pass. Keep it simple in the challenges like this:

const firstName = "Mark";
const lastName = "Sebeck";
