I don't understand the purpose of template the sketch layer? what does template do or useful for?!

8,600 PointsA good example would be for instance, if you are illustrating a character and you have a reference sketch.
You can paste your reference sketch onto a layer, switch it to a template layer. By doing so it will dim the layer to the setting you choose, and also lock the layer so it cant accidentally be edited or moved while working on layers above.
