Courses Plus Student 185 PointsWhat do we do with the xampplite folder in the Program Files?
First, we dragged the xampplite folder into the Program Files. Then, we are supposed to drag it into the C drive. At that point in the install, we are told we shouldn't have it in the Program Files or it won't work properly. I find this REALLY confusing! Us dragging it into the Program Files is never discussed again and we go on to installing Desktop Server via the C drive.
What are we supposed to do with the xampplite folder that we dragged into our Program Files early on in this video?
Can someone please clarify? So confusing! Thanks so much.

2,181 PointsNo clarification yet? I agree with the post from Marc, this is confusing. I can understand that Team Treehouse can't follow up on every little post made by "students", but this post is close to 19 months old. If this is a result of an editing error.... Then I'd call this a big one!

8,097 PointsThis instructor is about the worst on treehouse, him and the photoshop foundation instructor. I also accidentally put the server in my program files because that is what he was showing and did not say until afterwards don;t put it there. Now I can find it. He spends forever telling us stuff that can be explained in 5 minutes and on stuff that is actually important we need to know he glosses over or tells use after the fact. Did you ever figure out how to get it out of your program files?

4,960 PointsHi Marc,
I just saw your question, no one answered but maybe you've already found the answer. I think there is an editing problem in the video. The procedure is one step less. You're probably better off using the automatic installer version which is available in the download Zipp file.
I hope this helps.
