What do i do next?

So I've been learning the swift language the past 4 weeks, creating various apps and learning on youtube prior to treehouse for roughly 2 weeks and then another 2 weeks on treehouse just completing the first app. The best way to learn is doing rather than just pretty much copying.

I have an app in mind that I can't imagine being too difficult but would definitely take me some extra learning. I'm unsure whether to go ahead with my app and learn things as i go a long while carrying on with the treehouse course or to take on some sort of challenges else where and creating smaller apps first.

What should be my next step?

Hi Luke,

I would recommend to get started with your app and as you get stuck, complete other tutorials on this website or online to fill in the gaps. I have found that to be one of the best ways to learn because you feel like you are moving towards a goal (launching your first app) vs. just completing online tutorials.

I hope that helps,

Mike

PS: After much trial and error, I was able to launch my first app helping others learn how to code in swift.

PPS: I could not have developed the above app without going through the awesome resources on Team Treehouse. Stick with it. It is so worth it!
