what am i doing wrong? id linkName inside <input>...?

dont understand why its not working? tried every combination and different id/value i can think of...?

Here's a few pointers:

  • nothing is inside the input, the input element is the one with the id "linkName"
  • since id's are unique you don't need to specify the element type
  • id's must be prefixed with a hash mark ("#") when used as a selector
  • it's the element's .value that the challenge wants you to assign, not the element itself

I'll bet you can get it now, but write again if you still have trouble.
