Java Java Basics Perfecting the Prototype String Equality

what am I doing wrong?

I get an error on this code. I don't understand what is it that I am doing wrong.

Equality.java
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
if (firstExample.equalsIgnoringCase( thirdExample)) {
  console.printf( "first and third are the same ignoring case");
}
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";

You're meant to keep the first comparison and output and then ADD a second conditional to test first against third. So the starting point for the second part is:

// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";
if (firstExample.equals(secondExample)) {
  console.printf("first is equal to second");
}
//Add second comparison below here.

In the code you posted, the problem is that 1) you've removed the first comparison 2) you're attempting to use variables before they are declared and 3) the comparison method should be equalsIgnoreCase
