20,315 PointsThe reason that is failing is because there is a difference between == and = in Python. == is called the equality operator, it is used to see if something is equal to something else, not to set a value.
The single = is used to set a value, change it to = to pass!
admitted = None
if age >= 13:
admitted = True

20,315 PointsHey! You haven't actually updated the value of the admitted variable. To do so you need to use the syntax: variable = value. Insert this after your IF statement, if you need any more help feel free to ask!

With this I get this error message: Bummer! admitted
is not True.
