Treehouse TeacherHi there! First, you're doing great. Your code for the media query is actually just fine. However, in CSS location of a rule plays a big role. In short: location, location, location! You've placed the media query at the top of the file which means it's now overwriting rules below it. If I take that same media query, and cut it out and paste it at the bottom of the file, it passes challenge Step 1!
Good luck and keep coding!

Always place your media queries at the end of your css otherwise your media query styles h1 styles will be overwritten.
Good luck!
