What am I doing wrong

I keep getting this error message: JavaTester.java:73: error: cannot find symbol int answer = Integer.parseInt(answerToLifeAsString); ^ symbol: variable answerToLifeAsString location: class JavaTester 1 error

ParsingInts.java 
String answerToLife = "42";
int answer = Integer.parseInt(answerToLifeAsString);

The error is telling you that Java has no idea what the word answerToLifeAsString refers to. This is due to the fact that there is in fact no variable called that in your code. The name of the string variable is simply answerToLife.

If you used the correct name like this:

String answerToLife = "42";
int answer = Integer.parseInt(answerToLife);

Then you'll be able to pass.
