I'm not exactly sure where I went wrong. May you walk me through what I did wrong?
// Enter your code below
func getTowerCoordinates(location: String) -> (Double, Double) {
var lat: Double = 0.0, lon: Double = 0.0
switch location {
case "Eiffel Tower": lat = 48.8582; lon = 2.2945
case "Great Pyramid": lat = 29.9792; lon = 31.1344
case "Sydney Opera House": lat = 33.8587; lon = 151.2140
default: return (0,0)
}
return (lat, lon)
}

28,558 PointsYour code is technically fine, but it does not follow the exact direction that the challenge asked for. The instructions specified that you had to name the function coordinates
and also have an external name for the string variable called for
. If you fix those two issues then your code will work.
Though it's also worth mentioning that your code is a bit more verbose than it needs to be. You don't need to create variables for this function to work. You can instead return the values directly in the case clauses like this:
func coordinates(for location: String) -> (Double, Double) {
switch location {
case "Eiffel Tower": return (48.8582, 2.2945)
case "Great Pyramid": return (29.9792, 31.1344)
case "Sydney Opera House": return (33.8587, 151.2140)
default: return (0,0)
}
}
That way you you don't need a separate statement just for declaring the variables and for returning them.
