If you wanted to remove only spaces, you could use ".replace(/ /g, "")
". Or if you want to remove any whitespace you could use ".replace(/\s/g, "")
". For example, if you wanted to convert case and remove whitespace at the same time:
fruit = "B an a N a";
newfruit = fruit.toLowerCase().replace(/\s/g, "");
// newfruit now contains "banana"

Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Student 5,428 PointsThanks I added this in my program and it works
var answer = prompt('What programming language is the name of a gem?'); if ( answer.toUpperCase() .replace(/\s/g, "") === 'RUBY' ) { document.write("<p>That's right!</p>"); } else { document.write("<p>Sorry, that's wrong.</p>"); }
