Hi, folks!
I'm struggling to find out how I go about implementing Privacy policies, Accessibility policies, Terms of Service policies etc. on web sites for my clients. Are there are any resources on Treehouse or on the web that you would recommend?
Cheers
Tom

Courses Plus Student 8,216 PointsHi, Dan and Pasan. Thanks for all your guys' help! That will really help me a lot.
Is it worth putting something into Treehouse about this?

Treehouse Guest TeacherHi Tom, can you clarify what you're looking for? Wasn't sure if you're trying to figure out how to integrate accessibility best practices into your design process for client projects, or if you were trying to actually write up privacy and TOS policies for clients... or something else.

Courses Plus Student 8,216 PointsHi, Dan.
Sorry, I was being quite vague wasn't I? I was referring to writing them up. I see a lot of Privacy Policy, ToS and Accessibility policies on websites, but I'm not sure where to start in writing these up. Is there a standard resource that I can go to?
Cheers

Treehouse Guest TeacherCool. Just spoke with Pasan Premaratne and I believe he has a few sources you can check out for templates, or more info.

Treehouse TeacherHey Thomas Ireland ,
Writing up thorough ToS, Accessibility and Privacy Policies, are hard to do without the help of a lawyer. As an easy way to get started though, Wordpress, or the company behind Wordpress, have licensed their ToS and Privacy Policies under Creative Commons Sharealike license.
This means you can copy and modify it to suit your purposes. They only ask that you replace all references to them, with references to you, and attribute to them somewhere on the page. Here you go:
Hope that helps!

Treehouse TeacherYou're welcome! You're the first person to ask for this information, but I'll try and find a logical place to fit this into our content.

Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 10,954 PointsHi Pasan - I was wondering if this was something that could be added in somewhere like the business section. Kind of like the Copyright Basics Course. - I'm looking at Google's requirements to have a privacy policy for Analytics, and I'm thinking in developing a landing page for digital ads, we have to include a privacy policy page (Footer link). I'm thinking this should be a conversation that should be brought up with a client in the beginning, and if they have no clue about how to go about it, it would help to be prepared to offer options. In order to provide options, it would require bringing in someone knowledgable. However, since there isn't much knowledge in this, it would help to have some guidance in regards to some basics, similar to the Copyright basics Course.

Courses Plus Student 8,216 PointsAwesome! Thanks, Pasan. It's one of those areas where people might get stuck or not necessarily know about (particularly, me, in this instance), so thanks for looking at that.
Cheers!

Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 10,954 PointsHi Thomas Ireland , I see you wrote this 2 years ago. I'm currently in the same situation. Have you have found any other places online where they provided best practices for this, that you could share? Thank you
