8,001 PointsWeb hosting : Where Can I Start?
So I think I'm ready to plunge in with making my own website that's compatible for mobile, desktop, and various other touch screen devices.
I want my first project to be transferring my e-portfolio (toddsquitieri.weebly.com) from weebly to an alternate web host where I can code the darn thing myself.
I'm dating myself here, but back in the day I would have used Geocities or Tripod for this sort of thing, begrudgingly accepting the mandatory advertisements. So what are people using for web hosting these days?
I don't want to buy a domain yet because I don't have the money right now. Any free service-recommendations would be very much appreciated!
Thanks so much in advance!
Sincerely,
Todd

39,199 PointsI'd suggest http://www.hostinger.co.uk/
They give you: 2000MB Space, 100GB Traffic, PHP and MySQL
It's Free and yes No Banners or Ads, it's the best free hosting offer I've seen.

42,016 PointsI would recommend Web Hosting For Students. I know you said you didnt want to buy a domain but you can buy a domain and hosting for under $50 for a year. Really good deal. It was started by Zac Gordon who teaches the wordpress courses here on TTH
