I have an account with GoDaddy and I am concerned that my renewal is due next month and looks to be somewhat pricy approx. £300-£400 for 10ish domains, 1 hosting account for multiple sites and 1 SSL. I will admit the SSL is a bit of overkill right now but never the less I would like to keep everything I currently have. Most sites are not actively run they are mostly in anticipation of learning more.
File storage is up at almost 150,000. Memory at 189.9 out of 1024mb however I keep getting emails saying I have a problem with my resources and I also seem to get 408 errors sometimes as well as slow page load times. So I would like to fix this also.
Any advice/recommendations most welcome! I don't know much about servers etc. I have all wordpress sites (with a magneto learning site been the only exception). I have them all set up though the one click set up, hence my worry about moving to another hosting provider.
GoDaddy have always tried to help when I phone so I would like to have someone with good customer service.
Any videos/help to learn more about ftp, different server set ups etc would be great. I would equally love to host my own sites from a server I own or a PC set aside so if someone reads this and thinks it would work out much better please let me know.
Thanks!

7,837 PointsYour resources issue sounds like a potential security flaw in one of your Wordpress sites. I had one hosted that had a hacked theme and was trying to turn my server into a spam server.
If you don't know much about servers and aren't planning on putting the time into learning about them, I'd suggest staying at GoDaddy. You're paying more for their expertise. I host with DigitalOcean for the flexibility to setup my servers the way I want, but it requires me to know about ubuntu, apache, nginx, etc. and they don't provide much help unless it's a network or hardware issue on their side.
The price you quoted didn't seem to be that bad. The SSL is driving that price up. I would try to lock down the security on the Wordpress sites. There are some great articles you can find on Google that will help with that.

2,376 PointsHi Ron, Thanks for the heads up on the potential security problem. I will need to look into that asap, spam server does sound like a possibility as it does peek at weird times. Don't get me wrong I do want to learn about servers also but the day job and small business makes it very difficult to find any self-development time but I know I will need to. I have just started learning a bit of apache and ubuntu is on my list, so you never know maybe by next year I can jump ship even if I don't make it this year. Thanks for the help and advice much appreciated :-)
