What are your thoughts on using the web design track to supplement creating websites for clients with a cms like WordPress.

23,118 PointsIt's a fine choice, but at some point you will need to learn PHP, as Wordpress is run on PHP. My advice is as you build sites for clients or yourself, you will run into areas that you will need to learn something new. The Web Design alone, is a good start, but as you start to build, you will notice you will need to add more things than what is in the web design track.

Python Web Development Techdegree Student 8,587 Pointswould you recommend the PHP track before the web design one to build a better foundation in WordPress?

23,118 PointsNo, Start with either web design or frontEnd track, then go to PHP. What I wanted to say was just having the design track and Wordpress, may not be enough, you might run into other problems/client wants, and that's part of the fun with web developing; always a new challenge.
