Web Design track - not much design!

Having completed lots of web development material both on Treehouse and elsewhere, I am launching my own freelance business....which means I also need to brush up on web design.

My first port of call of course is to look at the web design track - I am surprised that there isn't much content on it that actually relates to design, just much of the same HTML/CSS stuff from the FEWD track. Not even the 'Adobe Illustrator for Web Design' course is part of the web design track. Also the track blurb promises courses on branding, colour theory etc. which is nowhere to be seen in the track.

Unless there is an update due to this track, I am guessing it is better to just browse the design courses library and hand pick the content myself? Though much of those courses seem quite old now.

I think the course is updated, i enrolled to this course in my trial period and it had some videos in illustrator, but when i paid for subscription i had to choose whether to continue with the old track or update it to the new version. I chose the new version since am a designer migrating to code so the old version wasn't that much interesting to me but i think there is a way you can get the old version. Don't know where! but since i got an option to continue with it on the first place so i'd assume its still available. My assumption is, the new version is more centered or targeted for designers learning to code rather than the other way around thus why the designing parts that where available on the previous version where removed. But i don't know! may be am wrong.
