4,945 PointsWeb Design to UX?
This is just a general question. But I've been in Web Design for 4 years. How easy is it to transition to UX?

Python Development Techdegree Graduate 13,658 PointsI would say it would be quite easy. You clearly have experience in the design of websites and are familiar with terminologies and creating objects yours interact with etc. So this would be a natural thing for you I believe. It would take your knowledge and guide it into creating a better user experience for those interacting with your apps.

2,892 PointsI am in a similar boat to this and am keen in working my skillset towards work in UX/UI design.
From a background in Graphic Design & Illustration; I have recently started practising HTML & CSS with a little JS on the side and picked it up well; its massively extended my creative outreach to digital mediums for online content.
With treehouse, I am learning Java and am already seeing this language, with my existing knowledge of FEWD amalgamate into creating dynamic web apps along front end web design as well.
You're definitely in a strong position with the Web design experience you have so trying your hand at java and some of the UX design courses they have here could compliment your existing knowledge greatly.
Hope this helps and best of luck to you
