I want to build a weather application in ruby on rails. can anybody suggest me a procedure to develop a weather app?

28,149 PointsI'm not sure how many features you need, but its not too hard in Ruby or Rails. I usually start with the meat and the potatoes, how are you going to get a users input, query against weather, and what are you going to do with that information.
I built this a few months ago: http://weather.titanhomesllc.com. In this case, they were just worried about tracking wind speeds. So this checks the weather every 15-20 or so minutes, and if the current or forecasted weather is over 10mph, it will save that to the database. And that based on criteria, it may or may not send a text message as well.
I just initialized the api call in a cron job when rails initializes, and from there the rest was pretty "rails-y".
