Courses Plus Student 18,373 PointsTotally false... VS for Mac just have its own extension manager. Microsoft products really tends to broaden to different platforms. Visual Studio, VSCode, .NET Core...
I can't let you say that "because it's a Microsoft product, it works well on Windows".
To answer the question: VS Mac has no much extensions at the moment. But It will come, with the time.

Courses Plus Student 11,987 PointsI have VS for MAC and it uses Core because it's not a Windows machine. So following this course doesn't work if you use a MAC because the setup is not the same. Meaning there is an absence of classes and folders as well as options the instructor goes through. Maybe for a Veteran developer, this isn't an issue but it's frustrating for a newcomer. So I have to fire up my old windows machine that I haven't touched in years just to learn this. There should be a MAC course also because MAC is just as popular and arguably better fit and feel for developing.

25,022 PointsI tried that but its extension is .vsix and mac couldnt open it. It may be suitable for windows ?
Also I tried to install the extension manually using VS. VS doesnt accept it as a extension packages.
I guess they still need to improve the mac version

17,726 PointsTo bad you cant get it to work. But Visual studio is ofcourse a Microsoft Oriented program, so best used with windows.
