For another time, I would really appreciate more visual examples or maybe that you explain it in a way that would help me create a visual in my head. Some people, I am one of, are bad at remembering a sentence. I am finding myself constantly rewatching parts of the video, because I forgot what you had said literally 2 seconds later, no matter how hard I tried to listen, because I didn't get a visual in my head of what you said, and in the end I was just frustrated which made it even more difficult for me to focus.

7,444 PointsDon't worry Anna, you are not the only one out there! I also think visually and have to re-watch parts of a video or re-wind to catch the jargon or the intricacy of a process. I'm sure many students do this. Perhaps hand-written mind-maps will help you? Can't think how to go about that, though!

6,473 PointsI feel the same, so I copy the video transcript to Evernote, and retire the time indications while reading the text after watch the videos. That helps me to memorize the concepts!

10,468 PointsI do what Marcia does... I copy the video transcript out so I don't have to rewatch the video. Many of us learn and retain in different ways. It's funny too, because I always find all the typos and missed words (the transcripts are notorious for bad grammar.... "it's" instead of "its", leaving out words, swapping the wrong form of a particular word like "are" instead of "our", etc.). I think it helps me because I am actually reading it for context when I'm taking out the time marks and putting things into paragraph form... I understand more of what the instructor is talking about when I have to reorganize it contextually.
