3,453 PointsVertical Pipe
I am looking at this video, Build Structure, and they say you can make a vertical pipe by doing shift-backslash. I tried over and over but I keep getting a question mark. Please help. Thank you.

43,038 PointsAre you clicking the forward slash instead of the backslash? If you are getting a question mark, then you are shift+clicking the forward slash.
The location of the key varies from keyboard to keyboard, but maybe this will help.

11,151 PointsIt is usually right below the "delete" key. You are currently doing shift /, which is forward slash. You need shift . You'll notice the | vertical bar right above the backslash. Hope this helps.

590 PointsUse the "other backslash" :) I use the description of the symbol for which key is the correct one to use. If you read left-to-right and look at each symbol, the "\" symbol is "leaning backward" so to speak, while the key below the ?-question mark, it is kind of "leaning forward" so that's how they're referred to. \ backslash /forward slash.

11,454 PointsYou can also write a character by holding the Alt key + write the ASCII code number of character. For 'vertical pipe', you can use Alt + 124 (on your numpad for example).

I think on a PC its shift+ forwardslash thats above the windows key.
But that could be different depending on which country you are in.
Hope this helps.
