9,230 PointsVector mask only good for non-detailed shapes?
In this video, we were able to pretty easily create a perfect circular mask around the orange. What if it were a different shape? Could we have used the rectangle, rounded rectangle, polygon or line tool instead of using the ellipse tool shown in the video? I'm just not sure when to use which mask. I guess we should use the layer mask that we were shown before for any detailed image/shape?

Courses Plus Student 7,294 PointsHi Jake, You can also use the pen tool to create any shape that you can dream up. If the pen tool is set to path, create the shape, then select the layer that you want the mask applied to. Select your path, right click and create your vector mask.
