not sure why this isn't working???

12,763 Pointsbecause its a string. When you run it in a python terminal you would get:
>>> varl = 'poiuyt'
>>> varl[5] = 't'
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
TypeError: 'str' object does not support item assignment

Indexing on strings are for referencing.
The challenge isn't asking for assignment anyway. It just wants you to create a variable where the 5th index is a t
