6,439 PointsHi,
try this one
struct RGBColor {
let red: Double
let green: Double
let blue: Double
let alpha: Double
let description: String
// Add your code below
init(red: Double, green: Double, blue: Double, alpha: Double) {
self.red = red
self.green = green
self.blue = blue
self.alpha = alpha
self.description = "red: \(self.red), green: \(self.green), blue: \(self.blue), alpha: \(self.alpha)"
}
}

Documentation for initialization: Swift 3.0 Initialization. I think a relevant topic is Parameter Names and Argument Labels.
I see a couple things you can fix:
- You don't need the
description: String
argument in yourinit
method. ThatString
can be created independent of the initialization step. - Remove the values you assign in your init method (first four lines of the method). Those values will be provided when a
RGBColor
instance is created. Same goes for hard-coding yourdescription
.
The next four lines are perfect. This is the foundation of your init
method. And from those values you can create a description using string interpolation.
self.red = red
self.green = green
self.blue = blue
self.alpha = alpha
self.description = /* use string interpolation */
