Using dot notation to call the setter within a property at 2:53

In 2:53 of the video, when the presenter uses dot notation to code

invader.Location = location;

he then explains that this code is calling the setter inside the Location property in the Invader class rather than setting the location field directly.

Is it also the case that when dot notation is used similarly with a property, the intention is to call the setter within that property?
