using a base constructor

a class Square with public field inherit from Polygon class with another public field. a base constructor is used to initialize a public field.

Polygon.cs
namespace Treehouse.CodeChallenges
{
    class Polygon
    {
        public readonly int NumSides;

        public Polygon(int numSides)
        {
            NumSides = numSides;
        }
    }

    class Square : Polygon
    {

        public readonly int SideLength;

        public Square(int length, int side) : base(side)
        {
            SideLength = length;
            NumSides = side;
        }
    }
}

In your square class your constructor only needs the sideLength value passed into it instead of two int variables, also you should be passing 4 in the base constructor as a square will always have 4 sides so there is no need to pass a variable to it

namespace Treehouse.CodeChallenges
{
    class Polygon
    {
        public readonly int NumSides;

        public Polygon(int numSides)
        {
            NumSides = numSides;
        }
    }

    class Square : Polygon
    {

        public readonly int SideLength;

        public Square(int sideLength) : base(4)
        {
            SideLength = sideLength;
        }
    }
}
