Use the JavaScript .toUpperCase( ) string method to assign an all uppercase version ofthe id variable tothe userName var

app.js
var id = "23188xtr";
var userName = id;

var userName = prompt("23188xtr");
userName.toUpperCase();

// the value of shout is "JAVASCRIPT"
var shout = word.toUpperCase();

var lastName = "Smith";
index.html
<!DOCTYPE HTML>
<html>
<head>

prompt is used for user input. i believe you simply need to use:

You won't need "prompt" for this challenge. You will just work with the values already provided for you in the code you start with.

Try starting a fresh question where you can show your code (which is likely a bit different). Perhaps more personalized hints will make more sense.
