Usability Foundations: Video quiz answer odd

Am I the only one who thought the answer to http://goo.gl/E1TG1F was odd? As shown in the prior videos as proof, you can simply imbed scripts to read an IP or ask permission to check cell triangulation on a website to find a users location; thus giving "... the nearest location" at the topmost of said website. I think the answer of "... [make] the site look nicer" reeks of old flash-based design ideology. Looks are simply trends, a more intuitive system however can be timeless.
