Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 13,950 Points"Unexpected token" error.
I've gotten an Bummer "Unexpected token" but I don't know why. Any help would be great.
class Student {
constructor(gpa, credits){
this.gpa = gpa;
this.credits = credits;
}
stringGPA() {
return this.gpa.toString();
}
get level() {
if (this.credits > 90 ) {
return 'Senior';
} else if (this.credits > 60) {
return 'Junior';
} else if (this.credits > 30) {
return 'Sophomore';
} else {
return 'Freshman';
}
}
set major(x) {
if ( this.level === "Senior" || this.level ==="Junior" ) {
this._major = x;
}else if {
this._major = "None";
}
}
}
var student = new Student(3.9, 60);

26,386 PointsHello. In your set_major method you have an else if
statement but you have no boolean expression to be evaluated. Since you do not have the boolean and you moved directly to the curly braces {}
, the error says unexpected token: "{" (it was expecting a parenthesis with a boolean).
You can either add an expresssion to be evaluated or changed it to an else statement:
Current
set major(x) {
if ( this.level === "Senior" || this.level ==="Junior" ) {
this._major = x;
}else if {
this._major = "None";
}
}
Fixed
set major(x) {
if ( this.level === "Senior" || this.level ==="Junior" ) {
this._major = x;
}else {
this._major = "None";
}
}
