String firstName = ("Gordon");

String lastName = ("Sumner");

What's your question exactly? I don't really understand...

Hey Desmond,

You'll want to focus on the last two lines. Your print statement is missing a semicolon and you'll then want to make band a String.

String firstName = "Gordon";
String lastName = "Sumner";
console.printf("Hello %s", firstName); // Was missing a semicolon
String band = console.readLine("Which band?  "); // Was missing a String declaration
