Why we are using Console console =System.console(); and not Console console = new Console(arguments); or Console console = new System.console();

12,453 PointsWe are creating a variable (nickname) to refer to an object that already exists (System.console). We want to refer to that specific instance of System.console, not create a new one.
It's no different than using String name="James"
to print console.printf("Hi %s",name);
instead of just saying console.printf("Hi James");
