5,285 PointsUnable to create a clipping mask with illustrator cc 2015
Hi everyone, I followed all the steps but I found myself stuck at 14,30min when trying to create a clipping mask, using illustrator cc 2015 as mentioned above. I created the circle to cover the sketch template underneath, selected both of them and then made a clipping mask, but my circle would cover the sketch as if my clipping mask wasn't created. Any guess?

Are you sure your layers are unlocked and you select both objects using the Shift key? It would help also if you could provide a screenshot of your workspace in Illustrator, perhaps I will see something that you missed.
Sometimes also the illustrator stucks and I find myself just saving the file and relaunching the application...

5,285 PointsThanks Michael for your support. I wasn't selecting anything. So, as Michael pointed out on TeamViewer you must remember to hold shift and select both objects. Another way to do so is using the direct select tool by clicking and dragging out (selecting both objects). Hope this helps anyone else.

5,285 PointsI did select both objects, anyway, this is my workspace before the clipping mask ![alt text] http://imgur.com/gallery/yCRuSiS/new

what do you think?

Courses Plus Student 15,596 PointsSomething doesn't click here, in the first image I see only the sketch with no shape, the second one it's like you just added a shape.
You are doing the following: On the same layer press the shape tool and create a circle shape, now select both shape and sketch behind it, go to Object > Create clipping mask > Make Correct?
If you'd like, you can contact me through twitter @thsmike or my e-mail (afanasiev.mike@outlook.com) and we can create a TeamViewer remote assistance to solve this. :D
