Java Java Basics Getting Started with Java Strings, Variables, and Formatting

umm why does this not work?

why is "%s" no good?

Name.java
// I have setup a java.io.Console object for you named console
String firstName = "Chris";
console.printf (" %s can code in Java!");

Hi Chris,

You forgot to pass firstName to the printf method. printf is expecting a String type, do be bad at her :P. Just kidding, this worked for me.

String firstName = "Daniel";
console.printf("%s can code in Java!", firstName);

I hope this help,

-Dan
